with+목적어+분사
두 개의 문장이 동시동작, 부대상황으로 연결되어 있고 두 문장의 주어가 서로 다를 경우 만들 수 있는 분사구문의 형태입니다. 이는 일종의 독립분사구문인데, 종속절의 주어를 with의 목적어에 위치시키고 그 뒤에 동사를 분사의 형태로 바꾸어 놓습니다. 'with+목적어' 뒤의 분사가 목적어와 능동관계이면 현재분사, 수동관계이면 과거분사를 씁니다. 

s1. The prince entered the castle and the crowds cheered.
      왕자는 성으로 들어갔고 군중들은 환호했다.
  ⇒ The prince entered the castle with the crowds cheering.
      군중들이 환호하는 가운데 왕자는 성으로 들어갔다.
s2. She was sleeping and the TV was turned on.
      그녀는 잠을 자는 중이었고 TV는 켜져 있었다.
  ⇒ She was sleeping with the TV (being) turned on.
      그녀는 TV를 켜 놓은채 잠을 자는 중이었다.

with+목적어+형용사, 전치사+명사
형용사구에 어떤 것들이 있었죠? 8품사의 개요의 [10강] 형용사구와 형용사절, 그리고 형용사의 후치수식을 참조하세요. to부정사, 분사, 전치사+명사가 있었습니다. 형용사 역시 일종의 형용사구입니다. 이 중에서 to부정사는 제외되고 분사, 형용사, 전치사+명사가 'with+목적어+형용사구'의 자리에 위치할 수 있습니다.

s3. He kept talking to me and his mouth was full of food.
      계속해서 나에게 말을 걸었고 그의 입은 음식으로 가득했다.
  ⇒ He kept talking to me with his mouth (being) full of food.

      그는 음식을 입에 가득 문 채 계속해서 나에게 말을 걸었다.
s4. He was reading a newspaper and a pipe was in his mouth.
      그는 신문을 읽고 있었고 파이프가 그의 입에 물려져 있었다.
  ⇒ He was reading a newspaper with a pipe (being) in his mouth.
      그는 파이프를 입에 문 채 신문을 읽고 있었다.

'with+목적어+형용사구'는 s3, s4와 같이 '한 사람이 어떤 행위를 하면서(주절의 내용) 동시에 그 사람의 신체 일부분은 어떤 상태이다(분사구문의 내용).'라는 의미로 쓰이는 경우가 많습니다. 다음은 이러한 형태의 분사구문으로 가장 유명한 예문입니다.

s5. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
      그는 은수저를 입에 물고 태어났다.(그는 부유한 가정에서 태어났다.)

'with+목적어+형용사구'는 문장의 앞에 위치할 수 있습니다.

s6. With his arms folded he was standing by the door.
      팔짱을 낀 채 그는 문 옆에 서 있었다.
